Knocknagor Eco Committee members are elected from each class. We plan to meet on the 1st Thursday of each month at least.  

Roles and Responsibilities

• Meeting with other pupils and Miss Montague to plan how/what should happen around our school and when. For example:
  • how we can reduce waste in/around our school especially food waste
• Ensuring that recycling bins are emptied on a regular basis
• Making sure that only recyclable material is put into green bins
• Organising/helping to make gifts for special occasions such as Christmas/Mother’s day from recycled things.
• Planning/monitoring how we can reduce energy consumption around the school
• Analysing simple data to measure energy use.
• Looking at plastic use in our school and how we can reduce it.
• Keeping our school litter free.
• Encouraging and show our families to care for the environment.
